everyone has preferred pronouns. everyone! this includes trans* people and cis people.
but when cis people are referred to by the wrong pronouns, they don’t feel dysphoric. they don’t feel like society doesn’t acknowledge their gender. a cis person who’s misgendered only feels that the person who misgendered them made a mistake.
